1. If your computer is running on xp and has memory of 128mb this might proof a hard tusk you can add memory to the maximum and  ie fro 128-256mb this is a good size for programs.              
2. you can clear up temporally files by cleaning the harddisk registry you can purchase a  Registry cleaner.the registry is a sensitive part of your system database it contains all information of your computer.Aything you do eg installing,upgrading or deleting creates lots of junks in their allocated registry.
3. if you happen to run soo many programs and making your computer slow, you can adjust your computer to expand its paging size for the oppened applications.The size of paging is actually controlled by windows but you can increase it manually by.Virtual memory for computers is the size used in harddisk while inb opperation the size can be overwhelmed thus making your computer slow.but you can increase.follow the following graphical steps.Rightclick on my computer >properties>advanced>memeory setting tabs under perfomance nd change.
